Job description
The main purpose: Responsible for assisting in managing the traffic in and out, and around the CTICC (Parking Areas)
Reporting to the: Parking Supervisor
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Daily checks of all parking systems in the morning to ensure that the machines are ready for the day
Assist CTICC visitors to access the CTICC from the parking areas
Assist at road closures during big Exhibitions and Conferences
Make sure that all faulty equipment is reported timeously to prevent negative impact to CTICC visitors
Ensure safety of the vehicles and report suspicious person(s) entering and exiting the car park
Ensure that the Parking entry booms have enough tickets
Daily cleaning of parking machines
Direct clients to the correct assigned parking areas
Maintain visibility at all times for easy identification and to assist clients timeously
Continuous monitoring of the parking equipment to make sure they are in working order (Two-way Radio, APS Machines, Entry and Exit Booms)
Job requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Matric or equivalent (NQF Level 4)
Grade 10 will be accepted on condition that Grade 12 is obtained within 2 years of employment
Parking experience
Hospitality industry background would be advantageous
Personal attributes: This position would suit a well-disciplined and proactive individual. The ideal incumbent will be enthusiastic and embody the CTICC values. The candidate must have good communication skills and attention to detail.
The position is based on an hourly paid salary structure.
Must be able to work abnormal hours (weekends and public holidays).
