Job description

The Sustainability Graduate will assist in raising the profile of CTICC as a Sustainability (Environmental, Social, Governance) industry leader both internally and externally with the intent to gain practical Sustainable Development experience within a Convention Centre environment.

  1. Coordinating Sustainability initiatives

    • Play a pivotal role in coordinating diverse sustainability initiatives and activities within a fast-paced environment.

    • Assist with planning Nurture Our World (Sustainability Committee) meetings and producing timeously meeting minutes.

    • Assist in aligning CTICC activities with Net Zero ambitions

    • Work collaboratively with different departments, aligning Sustainability activities with overall business goals.

  2. Knowledge Support

    • Assist in ESG data collection and management (water, waste, electricity).

    • Assist in data gathering of scope 1,2,3 emissions.

    • Assist in desktop ESG research of industry best practice.

  3. Administration

    • Assist in generating reports and presentations to further CTICC’s Sustainable Development Strategy.

Job requirements

  • National Diploma in Sustainable Development or related qualification (NQF Level 6).

  • Bachelor of Arts majoring in Geography and Environmental Studies (NQF Level 7) will be advantageous.

  • Computer literate in MS Office
